During the 1st and 2nd sea trials in Fort William, Scotland, the RiserSureTM systems have been rigorously tested in harsh environments. The 2nd sea trials in June 2019 have identified the need for additional minor technical updates for improving the platform’s deployment, operation and retrieval procedure. Technical changes have been made and the final updated version of RiserSureTM was ready for the 3rd trials at the Underwater Testing Centre (UTC) in Fort William, Scotland, in August 2019. The trials have successfully shown that the modifications done were appropriate. Based on the three sets of trials done so far, all of RiserSure’s systems have been individually extensively tested and proven to work in subsea conditions.
